Diane Fanning Attending “Her Texas” Book Release in Austin

60 Texas women have joined together to create a new anthology, Her Texas: Story, Image, Poem & Song which releases on March 1, the the first day of International Women’s History Month. Diane Fanning, a long time former Texas resident who wrote the majority of her books while living there, contributes to the Her Texas anthology a fiction short story titled “Bottom Land.” Fanning will be attending the book’s launch on March 1, 2015 at Book People in Austin at 603 North Lamar from 2-5:30 pm and will be available to sign copies of the book. The Her Texas book launch event will include music, art, photography, and readings followed by book-signing with authors and editors. Dottie Laster Appearing at University of Texas, San Antonio for Women’s History Month

One of the major events on the campus of the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) each year is March Women’s History Month and 2013 is no exception. The month long series of events and lectures will feature “TRAFFICKED” led by Dottie Laster, CEO of Laster Global Inc. and UTSA Alumni on Friday, March 22 at 2pm in the Harris Room, UC2.212. Dottie Laster will present on the issue of human trafficking in the United States and will discuss current statistics and the industries in which these individuals of modern day slavery are subjected.
