On Friday, October 11 Coker College in Hartsville, South Carolina will host the first conference about human trafficking, “Combatting Human Trafficking in South Carolina: Implications for Social Work and Law Enforcement” offering the public information as well as workshops, training and speakers for the benefit of educating law enforcement, social workers, advocates, and other professionals who work in the arena of human trafficking. One of the major events on the campus of the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) each year is March Women’s History Month and 2013 is no exception. The month long series of events and lectures will feature “TRAFFICKED” led by Dottie Laster, CEO of Laster Global Inc. and UTSA Alumni on Friday, March 22 at 2pm in the Harris Room, UC2.212. Dottie Laster: Human Trafficking Education with Texas League of Women Voters

On Thursday, January 17th,  the League of Women Voters of Comal, Texas will host Dottie Laster leading an educational workshop on human trafficking issues within the state of Texas and the nation at the Tye Preston Memorial Library, 16311 South Access, Canyon Lake, TX.
