Family of Missing Donna Jou Hold Press Conference on 24th Birthday to Update Details in Her Case

  Friday, October 14, 2011 the family and supporters of missing college student, Donna Jou, will be gathering at 10:30am Pacific Time at 210 W. Temple Street (in front of Criminal Justice Building) in Los Angeles, California for a press conference observing Donna’s 24th birthday and to update the public about new information in the case. On June 23, 2007, 19 year old college student, Donna Jou disappeared under suspicious circumstances from the home of three time convicted sexual predator, John Steven Burgess, located at 3617 Faris Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90034.. Earlier this year, Donna’s confessed killer, Burgess, was released from prison after serving 2 years of his 5 year sentence, then quickly remanded to Los Angeles County Jail on lesser charges.  He will no doubt be eligible to be released back into society in the near future.  The family feels there should be enough information and evidence to re-open the case and seeks a better measure of justice for their daughter and demands recovery of her remains. However, after several days of questioning by the police, Ray White confessed to the murder. He was subsequently charged with involuntary manslaughter and posted $100,000 bail. And then things turned a bit weird. The judge released White to the custody of his brother, David White, inFlorida.
