Donna Gore’s Podcast Featured on State of Connecticut Website

On May 14, 2016, Shattered Lives Radio featured guests discussing three missing young girls from Tolland County in the state of Connecticut. The three girls have been missing since the late 1960’s, early 70’s. Appearing on the episode were family members and investigators who updated listeners on their latest efforts to solve the cases and return the girls to their families. The podcast was subsequently included with information about the cases in the Division of Criminal Justice section of the State of Connecticut website. She spent several months coordinating the guests and information for the episode. The discussion surrounding each case related details that are known, and the fact that there is no physical evidence available in any of the cases that would give investigators new leads. The Cantinera Screening with Dottie Laster in San Antonio Benefits Missing Persons Organization

On Thursday, May 12, 2016 Heidi Search Center is presenting a screening of The Cantinera at the Alamo Draft House Cinema Marketplace located at  618 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX.  The event will begin at 6pm with the film screening followed by a panel discussion led by Dottie Laster, Executive Director of Heidi Search Center who is featured in the film. The screening and panel discussion is open to the public and proceeds will benefit Heidi Search Center who is looking for 300 people to commit to a $20 per month recurring donation. For $20 per month the donation will assist in meeting budget needs and enable the center to continue to serve the families of missing persons. Human Trafficking Expert Accepts Position with Missing Persons Organization Nationally recognized human trafficking expert, Dottie Laster, has accepted the position of Executive Director of Heidi Search Center located in San Antonio, Texas. According to their website, “Heidi Search Center was established in August, 1990, following the abduction of 11-year-old Heidi Lynn Seeman. She disappeared from her Northeast San Antonio neighborhood on August 4, while walking home from a friend’s house.”  The non-profit organization provides community resources and aids law enforcement with search efforts, provides advocacy, and referrals. Dottie Laster is known nationally for her work in combatting human trafficking. She is also affiliated with the Bernardo Kohler Center where she is accredited to practice immigration law. Laster has been directly involved in the rescue and restoration of hundreds of victims of trafficking and continues to offer her unique training to law enforcement and organizations. Recently, Laster has taken an active role speaking to youth in schools and colleges across the country, a population targeted by traffickers.
