Jeff Mudgett Presents: Jack the Ripper Grand Jury in Philadelphia

Jack the Ripper Unveiled Descendent of H. H. Holmes brings evidence to mock grand jury Neumann University and Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion invites author Jeff Mudgett for a presentation based on his top-selling book, BLOODSTAINS, Friday, September 26. In BLOODSTAINS Mudgett describes the discovery of his ancestry as a direct descendent of America’s first serial killer, Herman Webster Mudgett, also known as H. H. Holmes. Holmes was the proprietor of “The Murder Castle” which he designed and erected in Chicago during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. It’s speculated Holmes killed hundreds and disposed of the bodies in the basement. The remnants are currently sitting under a United States Post Office covering the remains of those murdered there. They have never been identified, nor memorialized. Jeff Mudgett, a former attorney, offers his conclusions to evidence discovered from various sources as he investigated his new-found relative, leading him to the real possibility that H. H. Holmes could be the identity of the infamous Jack the Ripper. Mudgett says, “126 years ago, London and the world were shocked by a series of murders …

Para-History Con 2 Conference Features BLOODSTAINS Author, Jeff Mudgett

The intersection of history and the paranormal is just one juncture of the Para-History Con 2 “Preserving the Haunt” Conference May 2-4, 2014 at Fort William Henry in Lake George, NY, and features a presentation by BLOODSTAINS author, Jeff Mudgett. In the company of many of the nation’s best known ghost hunters and paranormal personalities, Mudgett’s ancestral history as recounted in BLOODSTAINS will be revealed to the attendees. For those not familiar with H. H. Holmes and his “Murder Castle” built during the construction of the  World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, Jeff Mudgett’s book, BLOODSTAINS, tells the story from a completely new angle, a personal history combined with methodical research into an ancestor no one would willingly claim. Herman Webster Mudgett was a swindler, a con man, a womanizer and, at his worst, H. H. Holmes, the most atrocious serial killer of all time. At age 40, Jeff Mudgett learned that he was descended from this incarnation of evil and set out to investigate what was known, and unknown, about his nefarious great-great-grandfather. The result was BLOODSTAINS. On July 26, 2013 The History Channel aired the story of Jeff Mudgett’s investigation of long, lost …

Listen now to a teaser: Far more than a documentary, Bloodstains is precariously balanced on the very edge between non-fiction and the paranormal, as the author’s research of his evil ancestor quickly takes on a personal aspect. Jeff soon fears his efforts may have awakened the legendary ‘Holmes Curse’ of the 1890s, the one investigated and written about by most of the nation’s major publications, including The New York Times. In fact, the deeper he digs into Holmes’ devilish past, the stronger the monster’s hold on him seems to become, testing the limits of his own sanity, as well as humanity. Racked …
