Doc Bonn Interviews David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam

Criminologist and professor, Dr. Scott A. Bonn has communicated with some of the most unsavory serial killers while doing research for his upcoming book, Why We Love Serial Killers including David Berkowitz, dubbed the Son of Sam in 1977 as he terrorized New York City with a .44 revolver and the shooting deaths of 6 innocent people. Recently Doc Bonn visited Berkowitz in prison. Knowing through years of correspondence that David Berkowitz was spiritually born again and now delivering his message as the Son of Hope, Bonn entered the prison with trepidation, wondering who or what he would meet behind the bars of Sullivan Correctional Facility in Fallsburg, NY. The personal interview with David Berkowitz took a couple of years to establish, Bonn gaining his trust through letters written back and forth, until his request was granted by Berkowitz himself. Although the name Son of Sam is synonymous with evil, Bonn felt his 5 hour visit was enlightening, and was interviewed by CBS New York about his experience. See complete interview and story HERE “He knows that …

Doc Bonn has compared the defendant, Jodi Arias, and her psychological similarities to Casey Anthony, looking beyond the headlines and into the mind of cold blooded killers. Read here. Similar to Casey Anthony, Jodi Arias is an attractive young woman with no prior criminal record who is accused of committing an unimaginable murder—in Anthony’s case, the killing of her own daughter.  Similar to Anthony, Arias faces the death penalty. Jodi Arias Trial: The Media Event of 2013? Ask Doc Bonn on The Dr. Laurie Roth Show!

Another attractive, young, white woman is awaiting trial for a brutal murder, one so horrific that we ask can a jury find her guilty? And when deliberating, will they honestly weigh all the evidence and look beyond the pretty smile and demure manner? Jodi Arias is accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in the face and then stabbing him 27 times before slitting his throat from ear to ear. Could she have been acting in self-defense as her attorneys are suggesting? Like the Casey Anthony trial, this trial promises to be the next media event, covered gavel to gavel by the networks, and pundits will examine every minute detail of the testimony, and you can bet all eyes will be on Jodi Arias. Dr. Scott Bonn, noted criminologist and author, will analyze the nuances of this case on The Dr. Laurie Roth Show Wednesday, January 2 broadcasting at 8-9 Pacific, 11-12 Eastern time. In his last appearance with Dr. Laurie Roth, Scott Bonn discussed the violent culture of the US. Will society’s acceptance of …
