Neil Schori Keynote Speaker at “Take Back the Night” Event
Outspoken and passionate anti-domestic violence activist, Pastor Neil Schori, has been invited by the Will County, IL Take Back the Night event to be the keynote speaker for their October 3rd event. October is the national Domestic Violence Awareness Month and events are planned across the country to bring awareness to the pandemic of violence in the hope that it can be curtailed. Neil Schori helped create the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit working with the late Susan Murphy-Milano. The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit is outlined in Murphy-Milano’s book, Time’s Up: How to Safely Leave an Abusive and Stalking Relationship. Pastor Schori has been instrumental in the establishment of Document the Abuse along with Murphy-Milano’s colleague, Sandra L. Brown, M.A. of The Institute for Relational Harm Reduction headquartered in North Carolina. Pastor Neil Schori has created a program within Naperville Christian Church which has been highly successful in assisting victims of violence with the creation of their personal safety plans, the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit, and, if necessary, providing safe houses in emergency cases.
