Dottie Laster Speaking at St. Marys University Wednesday, February 28

From a classroom at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, Dottie Laster was inspired by a speaker from the U.S. State Department speaking about the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, and made a life-changing career decision. After graduation she embarked on a career that led her to become one of the nation’s leading expert on human trafficking. On Wednesday, February 28th, Dottie Laster will be the one behind the speaker’s podium.  She has been invited to speak at St. Mary’s about the general aspects of human trafficking and participating in kicking off March’s Women’s History Month .  Fielding several requests from universities and colleges across the country, Laster hopes to be the inspiration for others interested in making a difference in combatting one of America’s most embarrassing epidemics, the enslavement and sale of humans. The audience will come away with Dottie’s years of knowledge, research and expertise from working directly with victims of trafficking, and a better understanding of how they can be personally involved in the anti-trafficking movement.
