In Marketing Everything Old Becomes New Again

written by ImaginePublicity

DARE TO EXPLORE NEW THINGS (1)

Does it seem like the digital age has developed more ways to analyze, digitize, and sanitize all aspects of human existence, especially the buying public?

Notice within the marketing sector, where there are new ways to dissect every statistic, down to the end-user taking money from his pocket and spending on a new gadget, a new game-changing tactic always appears.

Is it essential to know every aspect of the buying behaviors of each prospective customer or client? Isn’t it more useful to be sure that each client or customer helps spread the word of their positive experience?

Back in the day of Marketing 101, we learned that when a customer was happy with a product or service, they would tell someone else. Their testimony is the start of a cycle that could make or break a business.

We still see the basics of Word of Mouth (WOM) advertising done through social media platforms. Rather than gathering over the back fence or talking over tea or coffee, businesses’ reputation depends on whether they have “followers, likes, and fans.”

Influence on the decision to buy

Analyze your buying decision-making process. What is it that pushed you to the edge, brought you back, then gave you the final shove to the checkout?

It was more than likely that it was the opinion of someone else that assisted you to, or away from, the purchase decision. Now that we have instant access to reviews and commentary about a product, others’ opinions influence our choices.

Now we are entering an area of most value for those who do business on the web. Digital marketing is very social; it involves engagement, conversation, and others to get your point across. A company is wise to practice SEO and keyword strategies. However, even the best-ranked business website may not be making the sales they should if they aren’t engaging with their current and future customers.

Social media has changed the landscape of advertising, and how that translates into sales is the stuff of marketing in the digital age. Social media marketing is one big Word of Mouth (WOM) delivered to prospects with laser speed.

The most powerful tool in the marketing toolbox.

Words have always held power. How the power of words unleashes into prospective customers’ world is the delivery method advertising execs have been using for ages. One reason traditional marketing practices should never compete with online marketing strategies is that they should instead complement each other.

With social media and it’s valuable marketing matrix, words become more critical in customizing the delivery method, whether it be a well-placed billboard, press release, or taking the lead in a group or page on several social media platforms.

Unleash the Power of Word of Mouth (WOM)

The delivery of Word of Mouth (WOM) is found worldwide in every social media platform, forum, and comment section. It’s wise to take advantage of those that best suit your growing business or brand’s purposes.
