Jonathan Fleming’s case made international headlines in April, 2014 when he was released after serving almost 25 years for murder. After investigating the case for a year, Bob Rahn and Kim Anklin were present in the court room when Fleming was exonerated.
Rahn and Anklin have received high honors from their peers for their painstaking work on the Fleming case, and have managed to keep the best interest of their client in the forefront since his release. Since the conclusion of the Fleming case they have become outspoken advocates for the issue of wrongful conviction and prosecutorial misconduct and have been contacted by several others to review their cases.
Founding members and Regional Directors of Investigating Innocence, Rahn and Anklin continue to network with like-minded investigators, attorneys, and advocates for those wrongfully convicted. They were recently included in Penn State’s online course, Presumed Innocent? The Social Science of Wrongful Conviction and made a presentation to students and faculty of St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY.
