Jeff Mudgett Presents: Jack the Ripper Grand Jury in Philadelphia

Jack the Ripper Unveiled

Descendent of H. H. Holmes brings evidence to mock grand jury

Neumann University and Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion invites author Jeff Mudgett for a presentation based on his top-selling book, BLOODSTAINS, Friday, September 26.

In BLOODSTAINS Mudgett describes the discovery of his ancestry as a direct descendent of America’s first serial killer, Herman Webster Mudgett, also known as H. H. Holmes. Holmes was the proprietor of “The Murder Castle” which he designed and erected in Chicago during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair.

It’s speculated Holmes killed hundreds and disposed of the bodies in the basement. The remnants are currently sitting under a United States Post Office covering the remains of those murdered there. They have never been identified, nor memorialized.

Jeff Mudgett, a former attorney, offers his conclusions to evidence discovered from various sources as he investigated his new-found relative, leading him to the real possibility that H. H. Holmes could be the identity of the infamous Jack the Ripper.

Mudgett says, “126 years ago, London and the world were shocked by a series of murders so horrible as to redefine previous definitions of evil and criminality.

London law enforcement, including Scotland Yard, energized in the greatest effort to solve a crime mankind has ever witnessed. The English media covered every inch of every crime scene. Front pages covered the story across the globe, sometimes proceeding far past the boundaries of good journalism.

The killer was quickly given the handle Jack the Ripper. Then, just as quickly as they had commenced, the murders suddenly ceased. The killer vanished, forever disappearing.”

A decade ago, true crime historians began noticing the similarity between America’s most prolific serial killer, H.H. Holmes, who, during the same period of time, and the same modus operandi (MO) of the true killer, not the copycats created by the press and recently admitted to by English investigators.

In the same format used by the judicial system, the Grand Jury, Mudgett will present his evidence to those sworn by an oath in the audience. Just as in court, it will be open for debate, including the opportunity to present exculpatory evidence, and concluding with the same jury voting to decide if enough credible material stands before it to declare probable cause and order the suspect arrested, then extradited to London in order to stand trial.

Mudgett will also discuss the fallacies in the recent headlines that Jack the Ripper has been identified using DNA from a murder scene shawl.

Mudgett says, “Be a member of this historic grand jury. Hear and carefully consider each piece of evidence, and finally, deciding for yourself as a member of the jury, whether H.H. Holmes was the mysterious Jack the Ripper.

When you do, I promise you’ll be amazed at the evidence pointing at this most obvious suspect the world has never considered. Help us re-write history, solving without a doubt, the greatest true crime mystery of all time.“

The grand jury presentation will be at Neumann University and a more intimate presentation later in the evening at Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion. There will be copies of BLOODSTAINS available to be signed by the author.
