Author Lee Love Stands Against Bullying

In her book, Twitch, Twitch, Lee Love’s character finds herself embroiled in a workplace situation with a co-worker bully because of her immigration status, her skin color, her gender, and any other “difference” the bully could find to complain about to superiors. Twitch, Twitch, although fiction, is based on the real life experiences of the author. Jamaican by birth, Lee Love immigrated to the United States at age 11 with the same high hopes of others,, the dream of success. Running head on into discrimination and the workplace bully, Lee Love persevered and learned many hard lessons along the way. Love achieved a level of success which afforded her the opportunity to travel the world and see her wishes come true, but not without a price. Lee Love has taken a stand against bullying of all kinds and has been quite vocal about how it effects the self worth of those who suffer at the hands of a bully, especially in the workplace. Your Health is Wealth with Dr. Akoury: Soccer Moms and Executive Addicts on the Rise

Your Health is Wealth with Dr. Akoury Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 12:30pm on WFXB FOX TV Special guests: Dr. Gregory Smith and Dr. Fouad Ghaly Too often headlines shout about another celebrity dying due to the complications of addiction, many using street drugs like cocaine and heroin, prescription drugs, or a combination of both, including alcohol. Too many addicts go through the revolving door of rehab …

Victims’ Rights Prevail in Connecticut Due to Voices Being Heard

Big things happen when the squeaky wheel is greased, and from unlikely sources. During the unexpected experience of a parole board hearing, Donna Gore aka “LadyJustice” and her family found themselves facing circumstances that were unwanted and unplanned. 34 years after losing their beloved husband and father, the murderer was up for parole, able to do so because of “good time” served. Sometimes it’s the little things that make big differences to the comfort level of a victim of crime.  One of the things that the Gore family did not want known to the person convicted of murdering their loved one was their identities at the parole hearing.  A crime victim should not have to ask what rights are available to them, however, in the course of criminal history, many victims don’t know what rights to ask for or who to question. Former Connecticut State Victim Advocate, now a private attorney, Michelle S. Cruz was retained by the family to offer legal representation and advocacy during the short preparatory period before the parole hearing which was …
