Crimes are solved every day. Some from competent investigations, some from confessions, but most of the really important clues often come from the public at large. Since 1972 there has been a way for citizens to anonymously report valuable information to authorities through WeTip Anonymous Crime Hotlines all across the nation.
There’s a difference between “anonymous” tipsters and “confidential” information; at WeTip citizens can be assured that no one will ever know who they are when calling in, not even the folks at WeTip.
The purpose of WeTip’s totally anonymous system is to allow those who would not normally involve themselves with law enforcement agencies to have a way to get information about crime to those investigators who need it most.
The guests for the hour are Sue and Sue! That’s right, two Sues who work with WeTip Anonymous Crime Hotline will explain to listeners the way tips are generated and passed on through their system and discuss some of the successes they’ve seen as a result of a WeTip informant.
