Hour #1 “Author, Author!”
Cathy Scott is a true crime author and journalist who blogs for Psychology Today. Her work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, New York Post, George magazine, Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, Reuters and the Las Vegas Sun. Best known for penning The Killing of Tupac Shakur and The Murder of Biggie Smalls, she taught journalism at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas until she left to cover the largest animal rescue in U.S. history following Hurricane Katrina which resulted in the book Pawprints of Katrina with a foreword by Ali MacGraw. Her most recent TV appearances include Investigation Discovery’s “Behind Mansion Walls,” VH1 and A&E. Her latest and eighth book is The Millionaire’s Wife. The second and updated edition of Murder of a Mafia Daughter about the life and death of writer Susan Berman is scheduled for release in May of this year.
Hour #2 “Behind the Crime”
Dr. Scott Bonn will update our listeners on the trial of Jodi Arias. Arias is claiming self defense and that she was a battered woman. There is tremendous controversy over whether or not she will take the witness stand when her defense begins this week. I contend that she must take the stand if her self defense claim is to have any credibility with the jury. By taking the stand, however, she sets herself up to be shredded by the prosecution because she does not fit the profile of a battered woman and her story has more holes than Swiss cheese!
