Using his expertise and research Dr. Scott Bonn will bring listeners common sense information about the recent mass murders in Aurora, CO and Newtown, CT.  Taking a look at the historical facts of mass murderers, and using the information from his extensive research into serial killers and mass murderers, he can give the public a better picture of where to begin to understand the mindset of these mass murders.

Laurie Roth and “Doc Bonn” will discuss the media’s role in distorting the truth, reporting mis-information and how the race to be first to report creates a frenzy for public viewers when tragic events happen and immediately people look for something, or someone, to blame. Dr. Scott Bonn will be appearing regularly every other Wednesday to talk about crime, the deviant criminal mind, white collar crime and a host of other crime related topics and cases making the headlines.  “DocBonn” is the author of Mass Deception: Moral Panic and the U.S. War on Iraq and is working on his latest book, Monster Dearest: Our Fascination with Serial Killers.

Laurie Roth, “The Annie Oakley of the Airwaves,” has a Ph.D. in counseling and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. If she can’t reason with you, you had better duck before the roundhouse kick sends you flying! She is the proverbial “pastor’s daughter” when it comes to her sense of adventure and her independent thinking.
