Susan Murphy Milano,Holding My Hand Through HellSusan Murphy-Milano will be the featured speaker at several events planned by Scott County Search and Rescue to benefit  ongoing searches for missing persons. Murphy-Milano will assist the organization in raising awareness and funds through a series of events planned in Cape Girardeau, MO.

Susan Murphy-Milano is a nationally known specialist in the area of intimate partner violence, homicide prevention, and personalized safety planning. She is the author of three books, Defending Our Lives, Moving Out, Moving On, and Time’s Up which contains the revolutionary Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit©.  Recently the website, Document The Abuse.Com was launched housing information about the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit© and how it benefits, not only victims of abuse, but first responders, prosecution of abuse cases, and individualized safety planning. The website also has information on how others can be trained and certified utilizing the model developed by Murphy-Milano. Her latest book, Holding My Hand Through Hell: A Real Life Journey of Hope, Survival, Murder and Abuse, will be released in Fall 2012.

In March, Murphy-Milano participated a second time at the CUE Center for Missing Persons National Conference in Wilmington, NC as a presenter. She presents and trains at various conferences and workshops around the country, including the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, and works diligently with victims of abuse, missing persons families and cold cases.

As well as a best-selling author, Susan Murphy-Milano is the host of her own weekly radio show, The Susan Murphy-Milano Show, Time’s Up!, co-host on Crime Wire, and has a 1 hour weekly segment on the nationally syndicated radio show, The Roth Show. All of these shows are dedicated to educating the public about the issues and individual case studies featuring well-known guests and family members.

SEMO Search dogs is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization created by the Scott Co Search and Rescue K9 Unit to help ease the financial burden incurred by search teams and personnel in the Southeast Missouri area.
