What goes on in the minds of women who kill; some neatly by poison, some messy with bullets, hatchets and other deadly weapons?
One of the advantages held by writers of true crime is they have the opportunity to delve into every aspect of the crime during their research. Diane Fanning is one such writer who takes pains to probe into every viewpoint through interviews, documents and attending trials; the mark of a writer who stands up to scrutiny time and time again.
Offering her analysis of the crimes she’s written about, Diane Fanning will be appearing on several upcoming episodes of the Investigation Discovery show, Deadly Women.
Deadly Women fuses bone-chilling story-telling, sumptuous period drama and forensic fact in a bid to explore history’s most alluring female killers. Each episode profiles four famous cases from the past; killers and their victims are brought to life by elaborate dramatized reconstructions.
Fanning will be interviewed on the following cases of women turned deadly: Betty Neumar, Nadean Smith, Andrea Sand, Lyda Trueblood, Tiana Browne, Rhonda Belle Martin and Ellen Etheridge
Another Investigation Discovery offering is a new show titled, Deadly Sins.
DEADLY SINS examines the true evils that push everyday individuals beyond the limits of the law. From gluttony and greed to lust, envy, sloth, wrath, and pride, this series reveals scandalous crimes driven by the most basic of human instincts.
Airing on March 24 at 9pm ET, Diane Fanning will be appearing in the episode, Insatiable, talking about Dean Faiello, the subject of her true crime book, UNDER THE KNIFE.
