Robin Kraemer, as Interval House’s Community Relations Coordinator, she engages the community by speaking about Interval House and its mission to prevent and break the cycle of domestic violence. She speaks to a variety of groups and organizations such as churches, businesses, and other nonprofit organizations on relevant topics involving domestic abuse in the 24 towns and communities in and around Hartford. Interval House believes the key to helping end the cycle of domestic violence is through education and awareness. Robin graduated from Saint Joseph College with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2008 and from the University of Connecticut with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2009. She is certified under Connecticut state law as a battered woman’s counselor. She has been in the domestic violence field since 2008; she started her career at the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Robin began her work with Interval House as a Crisis Counselor on the hotline and in the shelter working directly with woman and children experiencing domestic violence.
Jennifer Lopez is currently the Advocacy Program Director for Interval House, a domestic violence program in Hartford. Interval House, serving 24 towns from Andover to Avon, is Connecticut’s largest non-profit domestic violence intervention and prevention organization, providing comprehensive services from community education to crisis intervention. As the Advocacy Program Director, Jennifer is responsible for the overall supervision of Interval House’s systemic programs i.e. Family Violence Victim Advocate Program, (both in Hartford, Manchester Criminal and Family Courts), Intensive Family Violence Services, ( DCF Program), Domestic Violence Outreach Program, (a program in the Manchester Police Department) and all Interval House Support Groups.
