Dr. Scott Bonn, “Doc Bonn” will shed some light on the question of why we are so interested in serial killers and their dastardly deeds. With television shows like Criminal Minds, CSI and Dexter, the public’s appetite for gory details has grown tremendously.  With internet “sleuthing” sites booming in popularity, thousands of cyber-sleuths pore over information and theorize about the latest headline murder…..why? Are we becoming a de-sensitized society that begs for the next adrenaline rush?

In order to help answer these questions, Doc Bonn is conducting in-depth interviews with two infamous, incarcerated serial killers. He is researching and writing his newest book tentatively titled, “Monster Dearest: Our Fascination with Serial Killers and Why We Need Them.”  Ironically, and perhaps shockingly, this book proposes that serial killers may actually serve a function in society by clarifying the meaning of “evil” and setting moral boundaries—that is, by helping to establish the outer limits of what one human being can do to others.
