A new website, Document the Abuse was created to give the public and those in the field of victim services access to new and groundbreaking information. Document the Abuse.Com (http://documenttheabuse.com) showcases the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit© and the benefits for victims of intimate partner violence and those who serve them. Announcements will be made soon about planned events for the official launch date of the new website, Document the Abuse.Com.

It’s creators are offering hosting opportunities during the Kick Off week. To see how you or your organization can be considered to participate in the Kick Off of the official launch and become involved in spreading the word about the Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit©  download all of the pertinent information here: Document the Abuse

The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit (E.A.A.)© is the mastermind process of violence expert Susan Murphy Milano that combines videotaping of an abuse victims’ actual words attesting to abuse, with witnessed and notarized legal documents that successfully satisfy legal hurdles often faced in intimate partner violence and stalking cases.

Document the Abuse.Com contains vital information on how the EAA can support each case of abuse from the perspective of the first responders and advocates, to an appearance in court.  It explains the legal benefits to the abuse victim, whether they are able to testify or not, how their words are forever documented and hold up in court, much like a Living Will.

Within the website is found a “lethality checklist” which takes a person through a simple questionnaire to expose the danger they may be experiencing, and inform them what they can do about it.  Also included in the website is information on Certified Training and a National Registry of those certified to assist victims in completing the EAA, formulating individualized safety strategies, and training others in all aspects of the EAA.

The Evidentiary Abuse Affidavit© is now available in several formats; within the book by creator, Susan Murphy Milano, Time’s Up: A Guide on How to Leave an Abusive and Stalking Relationship, which is also available in ebook and CD format, and will soon be available as phone app and interactive pdf formats. Time’s Up can be ordered through online and local book stores, The Institute for Relational Harm Reduction and Public Pathology Education, directly through the website of Susan Murphy Milano www.susanmurphymilano.com and on the Document the Abuse.Com website.

  1. What a great idea, I hope with the exposure will come more action and protection of victims of abuse. I wonder if/how this can also apply to prostituted women as this population is some of the most tortured and abused women in our society.

  2. Remember the Miracle on 34th Street? Well, this is the Miracle from “Chicago land” Do this for you as you deserve it… Do this for your friend as she or he is abused… Do this for the memory of Roberta Murphy!

  3. Susan has created a marvelous tool that will help save the lives of many who do not know where to turn. This site and its specific instructions will give every victim the needed information to help them prosecute their abuser. It is such a very important step and one that all advocates, legal professionals, therapists, and others who work every day with these victims should all get acquainted. Each day I reach out and speak the words from Susan and her wonderful work. She has become my friend, my supporter, and my guide as I try to help those who connect with me. Thank you Susan Murphy-Milano for the lives you save today and those who will be saved through the use of this magnificant tool. You are my inspiration!!!
