Lavinia Masters, Founder of S.A.V.E. Ministry is orchestrating their 3rd annual ” Celebrate the Release” on Saturday, December 17 from 10am to 2pm.
“This year we are so excited to be celebrating our 3rd Annual Celebrate the “Release” as we raise awareness, educate and empower survivors and others of our communities about sexual and domestic violence.” says Lavinia Masters.
The event is being held in Downtown Dallas, TX at the Dallas Public Library in the Auditorium. There will be filming of a documentary that Lavinia Masters will be featured in that deals with DNA Backlog and Sexual Assault Victims, as well as featuring Scott Berkowitz, founder of RAINN and the Safer ACT. Producers say the film should be released in about a year.
The sponsor for this year’s Celebrate the “Release” event is Ferguson Road Initiative http://www.fergusonroad.org/ Victim Outreach Division. Contributions from the sale of a souvenir booklet will be donated for crisis needs.
One of the needs is the 5 children left behind in Lewisville, TX on September 26. A mother was tragically murdered by her estranged husband because she tried to leave a life of domestic violence. Unfortunately this will be their first Christmas without their mother and they have no means of support except for their grandmother. Please view the story here:
Organizers say, “We are looking for your support of this booklet so we can present them with a check at the day of the event! Please support our efforts in us changing the world and its view on sexual violence and it effects on victims.
