The Roth Show
Wednesday, September 21, 7-8pm ET

Join Dr. Laurie Roth and Susan Murphy Milano for the regular Wednesday crime segment. Each week the “Annie Oakley of the Airwaves” and the “Jane Wayne of Justice” join their voices together to make some noise about unsolved crimes, missing persons or update previous cases.
Never boring, always a surprise or two, and hitting the air with passion for justice and making things right!
Rother has authored or co-authored seven books, both fiction and non-fiction, and is working on her eighth. Her newest book, DEAD RECKONING, got this starred review from Library Journal: “Well researched and a quick, engrossing read, this should be popular with true crime readers, especially the Ann Rule crowd.”
A Pulitzer Prize nominee, Rother worked for nearly 20 years as an investigative reporter for daily newspapers, and has made dozens of TV and radio appearances as a crime expert. She speaks to professional groups, works as an editorial consultant/book doctor, and teaches narrative non-fiction, interviewing, feature writing and creative writing at UCSD Extension in San Diego, where she lives. She draws from her years of experience reporting on a wide range of topics — from addiction, suicide, mental illness and murder to politics and corruption at City Hall and in Congress.
Her next book, MY LIFE, DELETED, is a memoir of Scott Bolzan she wrote with him and his wife Joan, the compelling story of this former NFL player-turned-aviation entrepreneur’s resilience and recovery after falling down, hitting his head, and losing all 46 years of his long-term memory (HarperCollins, October 2011).
Rother is currently working on THE MAKINGS OF A MONSTER, the story behind John Gardner’s rape and murder of beloved teenagers Chelsea King and Amber Dubois in San Diego County (Kensington/Pinnacle, 2012).
