Ward Foley, author of “Thank My Lucky Scars” and noted speaker, will be appearing on The Next Frontier with host Anne Barbano on Thursday, June 30 at 6pm ET. The Next Frontier is a weekly radio show concentrating on those with autism and disabilities.
Anne Barbano is the director, writer, and producer of LIVING THE AUTISM MAZE, a film about the difficulty of family life living with autism. Parents talk in the film about poorly coordinated programs, educators and therapists with no training in autism, and bad advice. An honest and powerful film, it has helped many to see what it’s like to live with the diagnosis of autism.
Ward Foley, affectionately known as “Scarman,” is an author, speaker, husband, father, and friend. Ward has also been a Little League coach, cross-country bicyclist, and more – all as part of his lifelong campaign to share happiness and peace. Born with Arthrogryposis, a rare non-degenerative condition, he has persisted through numerous surgeries, disfigurement and pain. He survived uncountable trials in the effort to live a ‘normal’ life, and triumphed through it all. Now, Ward’s mission is to empower others.
Ward has given hundreds of presentations throughout the U.S. and Canada for more than twenty years, at businesses, colleges, churches, and schools. He is also a frequent guest on TV and radio.
