New website, new look, same magazine for genuine women!
Reasons To Be Beautiful has launched their new campaign to present the best information possible to young women. It’s not just a fashion magazine filled with make-up tips, although fashion and make-up hold their positions there, it’s much more than that. The mission of Reasons To Be Beautiful is to make you feel great about yourself, whomever you may be.
Within the pages you will find “Ask the Experts!” The staff has carefully chosen experts in their fields to answer readers questions about a variety of topics, one of which is Dating Violence and Healthy Relationships with Susie Kroll. Kroll writes about these issues on her blog and shares some startling statistics that bring up a shocking reality: more than half of all teens know someone who has been physically, sexually, or verbally abused in a dating relationship. Combine these statistics with 81 percent of parents that either believe teen dating violence is an not issue or admit that they do not know if teen dating violence is an issue.
In her first column Susie Kroll is interviewed by a staff member and briefly goes over her background and reasons why she chose this field. Also in the article are questions from readers and signs to look for if you suspect a friend is dating someone who is being violent towards them, along with advice on what to do.
Based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Susie frequently volunteers with organizations that serve domestic violence victims and their families. Currently she lends a hand with youth support groups and at her local shelter. Susie also works with victims of sexual assault and abuse by serving as an Advocate with Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse where she responds to local ER’s and provides advocacy for sexual assault victims and via a 24-hour emergency hotline.
If you have a question that you would like Susie Kroll or any of our other experts to answer, send it to askRTBB@gmail.com and your question may be featured in the next edition of Ask the Experts.
