What will probably be the most colorful of the Mob presentations, Dennis Griffin, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B Goodman and Andrew DiNonato close out Mob Month at the Las Vegas Public Library on Tuesday, January 25.
This discussions will focus on what led to living a life of crime, the decision to leave that kind of life behind, protecting family and loved ones during the transition, and moving forward.
Andrew DiDonato worked for the Genovese and Gambino crime families in New York who later became a government informant and wrote the book Surviving The Mob which was later turned into a confessional style documentary film; Dennis Griffin penned several fiction & nonfiction books about organized crime including The Battle For Las Vegas, Policing Las Vegas, and Cullotta; plus a visit with special guestMayor Oscar Goodman as he reminisces about his legal eagle days representing Mob kingpins.
The Mob Museum is scheduled to open in 2011 and a presentation of mob related items will be donated to Mayor Goodman on behalf of the Museum in an onstage ceremony.
