“Opiefest 5” Finding Jesse Ross

To Whom It May Concern:

Imagine for a moment, what life would feel like if a member of your family was one of the countless number of individuals who go missing on a daily basis; imagine the agony, imagine the thoughts of what possible fate that missing loved one may have come to meet. This frightening thought is a devastating reality for the Ross family of Belton Missouri. Sometime in the early morning hours of November 21, 2006, Jesse “Opie” Ross went missing from his Chicago hotel. Opie, 19 at the time, had spent the weekend in Chicago on a school trip participating in a mock United Nations conference. For reasons that are still unknown, he is the only one of his pupils that never made it back home. Like many other similar stories, Opie’s case sits untouched and cold to this day.

We need your help! This letter is an official invitation to get involved and show your business’s dedication to our communities well being. On November 19 “Opiefest”, a missing persons awareness festival, will once again return to bring light to the growing problem of missing individuals. As apart of our event we plan to host a raffle for items of varying size and value.  If you are able, please consider donating anything that you are willing to provide for our raffle. Opiefest will also feature a variety of live music, pictures and displays of missing individuals from the kc area, information on how you can protect your family from such tragedy and a special presentation on “Opies Tour”, a missing persons awareness music tour that reached across the Midwest earlier this summer and featuring guest speaker Kelly Jolkowski from project Jason in NE.

We are asking for your help from the kindness in your heart. If you are willing and able to help, or would like to find out more about Opiefest please contact anyone of the names listed at the bottom of the page. Thank you for your time and consideration.
