Two well-educated, professional sisters with similar circumstances of violence in their personal lives, Kim and Kristin Anklin, both employed in professions that assist victims of crime, share a common experience and will share with listeners the beginning, the middle and the end result.
Society believes that violence usually occurs in certain segments of the population, that highly educated people somehow should know better how to avoid precarious situations and shouldn’t be considered victims. This attitude is far from the reality. Violence knows no boundaries, no socio-economic lines are drawn, and it can creep into anyone’s life at any time.
Kim Anklin is the Vice President of Management Resources of New York and the Senior Investigative Analyst. She works in partnership with all levels of government and private sector companies to provide innovative solutions to investigations and security-related challenges. She also worked for the Ventura Police Department as their crime and intelligence analyst.
Kristin Anklin is a former police officer who became disabled from an on the job injury. She has had counseling experience which includes chronic pain issues, depression, suicidal thoughts and attempts, psychotic disorders, domestic violence, health and wellness.
