Dr. Richard Weinblatt “Cop Doc”

Dr. Richard Weinblatt, The Cop Doc, is a law enforcement expert, consultant, writer, radio show host, and media commentator, who has served as a police chief, criminal justice professor, and police academy director.  He has worked in several regions of the United States in reserve and full-time sworn positions ranging from auxiliary police lieutenant in New Jersey to Patrol Division Deputy Sheriff in New Mexico to Police Chief in North Carolina.

A certified instructor for Taser, pepper spray, baton, firearms, vehicle operations, and defensive tactics, Dr. Weinblatt instructed and/or oversaw criminal justice degree programs and police academies in Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Ohio.

A well-known police issues commentator for local and national media, Dr. Weinblatt, has been interviewed by the Associated Press, CBS News, CNN, HLN, MSNBC, and The Washington Post among others.  He has authored hundreds of articles on law enforcement topics for magazines and websites.

Chaplain Gary Cortese

In addition to full time pastoral duties, Pastor Gary also serves the community as a police andfire chaplain. A recipient of a Congressional Letter of Recognition and a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains, Pastor Gary’s presence serves as a source of encouragement to the men and women in the emergency services and the victims of tragedies. His arrival on scene helps augment the service being provided to the community.

Chaplain Cortese is helping bridge the gap that sometimes exists between the different agencies. He takes a prominent role in formal Fire Department ceremonies including promotions and badge pinning of new firefighters. As spiritual leader in the firehouse, Chaplain Cortese provides a balance of faith and service for police officers and firefighters, and is an advocate for helping other departments start their own comprehensive Fire Service Chaplain program.
